I was Dying waiting for Dying for Rain yall! That Cliffy at the end of Fighting for Rain left me an emotional basket case. I was a hot mess express. I have been so in love with Rain and Wes since Praying for Rain. I mean what does one do when harboring such book heartbreak and worry?!

Luckily I didnt have to wait too long because BB Easton was a total gem to us all and quickly released Dying for Rain only two weeks after book two! Yes!! Adulting and regular life can commence my friends. Well, after you read Dying for Rain, that is!

Dying for Rain picks up right where Fighting for Rain left us. That epic heart-stopping cliffy. Wes and Rain find themselves once again torn apart, this time not by Wes or his insecurities or Rain wanting a way out, but forces beyond their control. Leaving both Rain and Wes devastated and heartbroken.

He doesnt kiss me like our time is running out. He kisses me like its already up.

Wes accepted his fate. While he wasnt exactly happy about it hes content that it is what it is. We see such a difference in Wes character in the way he responded to the events that occurred after he had to leave Rain. His love for Rain never waivers, down to the last moment he works to take care of her, to set her up to be able to care for herself. He reflected on his life. Looked to a future he wouldnt get to have. Wes had grown so much and found his place where he fit in this world, just to have it all taken from him. How he responds is just a testament to the awesome character he was. The character development BB Easton gave us GAH, she did such an amazingly fabulous job!!

He bonds with others like him in the same situation, his heart hurts for them. Where before Wes wouldve never really took the time to get to know others. The character growth in Wes was unbelievable and beautiful even with the tragedy surrounding everything going on.

My heart was breaking the whole book, prayerfully hoping this injustice would not happen. It just could not happen!!

I was never meant to get the girl. To have the happily ever after. Thats not how my world works, and this sh*t right here is proof.

Rains bada**ery grew with each book I swear. I couldnt love her anymore than I do by the end. This book though yall! We see her take all the strength Wes equipped her with, even more and she sets out on a quest of her own. She decided shes not just going to accept a fate someone else decided. Forget that noise!! Equipped with an inner strength she never expected, she finds herself able to do things she never thought she had in her. She will fight for her life, for the future she deserves. For those she loves most in the world. She joins forces with people you would never expect and sets out on a shocking mission, one she will either fulfill or die trying. She wont let anything or anyone get in her way!

Do I sacrifice one life to save the others? Or sacrifice the others to save the one?
My emotions were put through the ringer with this book. This entire series actually. I poor my heart and mind have run the gamut. I have laughed, cried, swooned, cheered, stressed, worried, begged and pleaded. I have also been tempted to throw my kindle and checked to see if it melted in super hot moments. This has everything you could ever want. Start this fantastic series today.
*I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complimentary copy of this book!
Cr8zysockbookblocks blog overall wrap up!
– BOOKHANGOVER ALERT!! I couldnt possibly only give this book five stars, that would be an injustice. I almost cant find enough world to tell you how great this book, this series is. JUST READ IT!!
– Okay so because of the situations in this book, you dont get the amount of sex like the other books. But Im still keeping a super hot, hot , hot rating because just thinking about Rain and Wes makes me think of all the times in all the other books and thats like nuclear bomb type hot!!
Cliffhanger Warning- lots of worry and tears, but I think you will be happy with the end!! ( no spoilers cause they suck)

Overall Grade: ++

Imagine the Rain Trilogy as a transcendent, awe-inspiring concert that overwhelms your mind and soul. Praying for Rain is the opening act; its purpose is preparing for the headliner. It begins to move the blood through your veins, and it raises your interest and emotions, but it wont match the power of the headliner. Instead, it will spark your soul, waiting for the striking match and tinder of the main band. Fighting for Rain is the headlining band of the concert, and youre sitting in the front row. This isnt a Michael Buble or Coldplay concert, though. No, Fighting for Rain holds the driving power of a Fall Out Boy or Paramore or Twenty-One Pilots. Except its harder and faster and sets the frenzy of your blood. Its the strike of the match, setting your soul on fire. And then comes Dying for Rain. Thinking that the concert cant be any more heated, you land in the mosh pit, filled with the crazed visceral movements of those who have wrapped themselves in the music of the main band. From one minute to the next, you dont know if youll be moved from one part of the mass of bodies to the other. Each moment keeps you suspended, waiting, anticipatory, and overwhelmed by the moment, by the people, by the power of the music. This feeling, this mosh pit, is Dying for Rain. Its a no-holds-barred onslaught of emotions and moments that drive you forward until its resolution. Every turn of the page leads you out of the darkness of Rain and Wess story and further into its light. Yet, in the midst of this frenzy, its driving story, nestled in its burning pages is a powerful message of the power of one, the ability for one person to challenge evil and bring it to its knees. This is the fire of BB Eastons Dying for Rain and the rest of the trilogy because, at its core, in the very center of the mosh pit of this book, lies the most important message:

Love saves.

From its first page, Easton engages us in Rain and Wess story. When we leave Fighting for Rain, we are beset with feelings of despair. Our hero and heroine are separated, and their future looks bleak. Rains belief in herself and Wes has waned. Yet, this is a romance with a happy ending, so we hope there is far more to this story. As a reader, you find yourself suspended in Rain and Wess story, waiting. During this pause, however, Easton reveals more and more of the background behind this society. Each chapter unveils more of the reality of this world, and Easton couples it with this energy and action that keeps you glued to her story. Every page brought me deeper into the danger of a society that willingly sacrifices its best citizens, the prime of its civilization. Easton has crafted this destitute, morally-bankrupt humanity that seems beyond redemption. Between Rain and Wess despair and the bleak future, everything seems lost.

Until love.

Herein lies Eastons talent. In her acknowledgments, she reminds us that this trilogy is her first fictional offering, which is astonishing because the society shes crafted in this trilogy, in Dying for Rain, is a hyperbolized version of our own world, emphasizing her craftsmanship. She pulls emotions from her reader through her storytelling that insists that we dont check out, as we see Rain wanting to do time and time again. In the pits of despair, Rain becomes us, and Easton creates her as a reminder that one person can tenaciously make a difference. Add in the depth and gravity of love to the equation, and one person can effect change. This is the power and heart of Dying for Rain and this trilogy. This is BB Easton cautiously and carefully admonishing us that we can be better than our world. That we can love others into loving others. That we can influence our world to be better for ourselves and our future. This message stays hidden until this final book. And its revelation exposes Eastons talent, her keen craftsmanship of story and character to a greater end than a simple happy ending.

Its been some time since Ive read a trilogy that ended in such a way that I wanted more. When Dying for Rain ended, I found myself mourning the end of Rain and Wess story already. BB Easton has done something so interesting with The Rain Trilogy that you want to buy a ticket to future Easton books. Dying for Rain is like that mosh pit, throwing us about like a limp doll. Yet, in the end, the crowd disperses, and you find yourself feeling transformed as the shared experience with others reminds you of the love for something bigger than yourself. This is an inescapable truth in Eastons trilogy.

Fighting for Rain & Dying for Rain – B.B Easton

Book 1 – Praying for Rain
Book 2 – Fighting for Rain
Book 3 – Dying for Rain

I really enjoyed this series, and got though it so quickly. Each book follows straight after each other and is it dual POV.
In dying for rain, Rain really does step up with great strength and determination.

This was my first apocalypse series and I enjoyed it a lot more then I was expecting even with things which normally annoy me (insta love) you just get so captivated its full of action, fear, violence and love. I got gripped and invested into the characters quickly. It was written well.

It would be a series I recommend.

Audio Dying for Rain (The Rain Trilogy #3) narrated by Alex Kydd Madeleine Dauer

Omg! The final part of this trilogy is fantastic! I had no idea how Wes and Rain were going to survive the horrors of life as its become. I was on the edge of my seat and teary eyed through most of it. I was so, so proud of Rain, and the strength she found to carry on. BBs writing is so vivid I was there living amongst these amazing characters! Its a brilliant series!!! You really wont want to miss it!
