Emotional Intelligence: Why It Can Matter More Than IQ audiobook free
I was looking forward to this book after hearing an interview with the author, Daniel Goleman. I was pleased enough with his narration of the Preface or Introduction. However, when the main narrator started Part One, I found hit tone and cadence very robotic sounding. It was such a distraction and annoyance that I stopped listening after the first chapter. Too bad the editing on this amateur level. The preview only covers the introduction read by the author which is great. When the narration from Barrett Whitener starts horrible editing starts too. Absolutely struggled to finish. Forced myself to out of sheer will. Most memorable moment was when it was over. First reason I did not enjoy it is that the narrator was extremely robotic and monotone. For a book about emotional intelligence, the narrator read with zero emotion. which made it difficult to stay with. The next reason I did not enjoy it is that it was not what I expected. I was looking for a book about emotional intelligence as it applies to leaders, CEOs, business relationships, etc…and this book was not that.
