Audio Graveyard Shift, and Other Stories from Night Shift narrated by John Glover
Some of my all time favorite stories from king, and some OK ones too. Read by John Glover who does a truly masterful job bringing these characters to life. That guy has a voice perfect for audiobooks. So why do I rate it so low? The sound effects. Someone thought it would be a good idea to add ambient audio into the mix. Spooky music, scary sound effects. I get the idea, I can truly see how someone thought this would be a good idea. But in the end, the mix is bad, and at best it is distracting. At times you actually can not hear Glover, as the effects eclipse his reading. Very disappointing. I would jump on a Clean reading.

I love Stephen king. And this collection read by John Glover are some of my favorites of his short stories. Glover is a masterful reader. He really helps you immerse yourself in the story as his voice transports you. The absolutely unneeded extra audio however drags you out. Sometimes it is distracting, sometimes you cant even hear Glover as the background audio gets so loud. Deeply disappointed with this mix. Give us a clean narration copy.
