Kindling (Painting the Mists #6) audiobook free
A mythic love story. A man and his fox companion and a princess. Oh, and of course a rabbit. Great battles and a lot of cultivation. I enjoyed the story. The subjects are deep and emotional. I think the author handles it well without coloring it overly much with his personal beliefs. I could be wrong about that. The series and the book are well worth reading. I keep wondering how it will stay engaging as the power levels rachet up. But 6 books in it\’s been handled well so far. I did have a little incredulity early in the book but it settled down after I got into it.

About 2/3 of the book are quite good, everything around the MC, Yu Wen, and the beasts is a lot of fun. Unfortunately the author decided to waste about 1/3 of the book on Hong Xian, the most useless character. I couldnt care less about her and skipped all of her moronic chapters.

Audiobook Kindling (Painting the Mists #6) by Patrick Laplante
This book is a good installment in there wonderful, non face obsessed Wuxia tale that is painting the mists. I\’ve read quite a few Wuxia stories and although many are addicting, most leave much to be desired from their storytelling. However, this is not such a case. Instead, this novel has both triumphs and tribulations, struggles and character development.

Exactly what I was looking for in a Xanxia novel, good fights, a main character with morals, an overarching story with interesting side characters, a feeling of progression with challenges, not just an overpowered mc who is better than everyone at everything, although this one isnt weak at all. 5/5

This whole series is an excellent addition to the English Wuxia style of novels. Well written, compelling drama, great action. One of the best series I have read in recent memory
