I can deal with the cheese factor, barely. What sent me skipping chapters to an end I already knew was the horrendous girl. Aren\’t we supposed to like the main characters? She\’s petulant, whiny, selfish and defiant to the extent of being a moron. She\’s an 18 year old with a 2 year old\’s personality. The idea of the story had so much potential. Unfortunately it was wasted. I do hope this author can maybe salvage this idea in another series with guidance from someone with more maturity and imagination. 8 people found this helpful

the main character is one of the worst I\’ve ever seen. this was the first time i wanted a main character to die so i didn\’t have to listen to her. i really like where this story could have gone had Ryn not been so dramatic and whinny. Tyrrik was a great character that needed a strong heroin that was not Ryn. I\’m not sure i can get through another book listening to her. if you like a strong mature heroin this book is not for you. if you like someone that keeps bringing up things that barely happened to her over and over again and always saying poor me this is perfect for you. 4 people found this helpful

I was really interested in the story buy I had to stop the tape several times due to the voice that was reading the book. her voice sounded like she has a big pouty lip at all times!! I COULDN\’T get excited about this book or book one due to THAT VOICE! PLEASE don\’t use this voice in book three . 2 people found this helpful
