A worthy addition to the “Dino Lernt Deutsch” series and follow-up to “Digital in Dresden”. Dino is in Stuttgart with Elisabeth to meet her sister as she accepts a prestigious research prize. But things don’t go as planned and a mystery ensues. Who is this former policeman they meet at a bar? And how does Dr. Snuggles fit into things?

As always, this is a fun way to learn German words and sentence structure at an approximate level of A2/B1. The glossary at the end of each chapter provides guidance; quizzes at the end of each chapter provide reinforcement of certain phrases. Highly recommended.

This book is an entertaining story written for people who read German somewhat and want to improve. The author writes using modern vocabulary and idioms. There is a glossary at the end of each chapter, but I was able to understand most of the unfamiliar words from context. The multiple choice exercises at the end of each chapter were good for testing comprehension. The book was well proofread. I found only one possible error – and it might be my misunderstanding – and reported it.

I like reading and writing books in foreign languages. I like short stories because they are short. Long stories are okay too but are more difficult in a foreign language.
