AWESOME!!!! BOOK!!!!
Unexpected Love by the fabulous Kristin Mayer, has become one of my absolute favorites of 2019!! Highly emotional (have the tissues ready ladies), humorous, and mysterious.
I absolutely LOVED everything in this book!! Lucian and Addilyn blew my mind, their love for each othersigh! Every persons dream, to find that kind of love. Especially, after they were both so hurt by previous relationships, their love was just astounding!!! I loved ALL of the characters in this book, but one character, Remmy, stole my freaking heart!!! I think possibly, one of my favorite parts is where Addawin (yes, I misspelled Addilyns name, you will understand once you read this book) goes to Remmys room to wake him and tells him. Sorry ladies, I am not giving any spoilers away! I will say this, I cried like a baby, so have your tissues ready!! My heart just shattered into a million pieces for Remmy. Kudos Ms. Mayer!!!
I will also say this, Ms. Mayer gives us, the reader, the insight into her next book, Complicated Love which will release in September 2019.
I have been a fan of Kristin Mayer for a little over 2 years now, and I have to say this, her stories, just keep getting better and better. She has become one of my go tos when I want to read an emotional, heart wrenching book!

I say this with every book Ms. Mayer writes.I FREAKING LOVED this book!!! Lucian, Addilyn and Remmy are EVERYTHING!! These two were definitely NOT looking for love and in fact were doing everything possible to avoid it. But sometimes fate has other plans and given that they met before they actually meet just made it that much better!
Lucian is a man that is all alpha all the timeexcept when it comes to his son Remmy and then hes in alpha overdrive protecting this beautiful little boy from an ugly world that no child should be exposed to and when he meets Addilyn his world is turned upside down because she just gets him. But shes not had an easy life and well, shes very cautious about giving her heart away.
This book is written with so much emotion and all the feelings that give me goosebumps when a couple is falling in love. Their chemistry is something neither has experienced before. I loved how Lucian accepted Addilyn and respected everything shes been through because trust me, he could just blow into her life and take over but he knows this woman his is world and well, hes willing to bend a little.
And lets talk about this sweet little boy Remmy. My heart completely and totally melted for him. He truly plays an integral part of this love story and I so appreciate how Ms. Mayer let that happen and it wasnt over the top nor did it ever feel like it was forced it was a very organic part of the story and their growing love. As I also love in her books, there was just the right amount of angst.
If youre looking for a great love story with all heart and soul this is the book you need to read. I personally am going to need Kaysen and Wynters story ASAP!!

Its official. Kristin Mayer is the Queen of Contemporary Romance. Shes like the best, ever. A true magician. A unicorn.
And she successfully ruined me for any other book boyfriend when she created Lucian Black.
Ladies, I do hope your heart is ready to be stolen by this swoon-worthy knight. He has mine now and he refuses to hand it back to me. But who cares, he can have it.
This story is easily a top read of the year. The BOOK, with all caps.
Addalyn is the perfect heroine. Shes strong, determined and has a beautiful heart.
And Lucian..Dont let me start on him. Hes a dream come true.
I also cant wait to read Kristin Mayers next book as I KNOW its going to be EPIC!

I don’t even know where to start to convey how good this book is. Lucian and Addilyn’s story is just so good! Plus Remmy! It was a “one sitting read” type of book to me because I could not put it down. Usually I read romance books because book boyfriends are the best and although Lucian was that, and dreamy too, Addilyn was just amazing; at every turn and with every decision; with every challenge and every curve ball. The sass with Wynter, Kaysen, and Thor is just cherry on top of the cake. I actually can’t wait to see what else is coming from Kristin Mayer.

I have been a fan of this author for quite some time. She never disappoints in the journey she takes me on. The concept of loving children no matter what their biology , but to have the flip side of abandonment in the same journey is very interesting.
Remmy is just the perfect little so had had to deal with you too much. Both Addilyn and Lucian give him the perfect amount of love to that precious little boy.And how I love his reaction to the new baby. “I want a full grown baby brudder to play with!” Maybe Santa will give him plenty.
