Edward dispels any misinformation about this technique and the theology that lies behind it and shows in some detail how to use the rosary as a means of meditation on the Scriptures. Not being a son of Rome myself, I approached this book with a degree of skepticism, but the deeper I got into it, the greater my appreciation for this form of devotion became. I recommend the book to anyone who may want to explore the meaning of the rosary or who may be interested in using it in practice.

Audiobook Holy Rosary: Learning to Pray Using the Rosary by EDWARD CARBEY
The book offers much formation and points of reflection which will benefit those new to the devotional as well those who regularly pray the rosary. It also gives a good explanation of the christocentric center of the devotional. I also appreciated the great attention to the scriptural bases for each of the mysteries as well as the many ways one can focus when praying the rosary. There is an especially good reflection on each of the prayers used in the rosary. Overall great.

Thank you for writing this. It’s been years since I’ve prayed the rosary on a daily basis. When I prayed the rosary at a young age, I did so because it’s what a Catholic did, but I didn’t really understand. I recently had a powerful calling to the rosary and I wanted to pray with more knowledge and this book helped greatly. I truly impress with this book

What an amazing book this is!! If you have trouble keeping your attention on the Rosary mysteries as you pray (and even if you don’t) you will benefit GREATLY from this book. Father has thoughtfully put together key moments of Our Lord Jesus’ life from the writings of Blessed Catherine Emmerich to bring the Gospel (Rosary Mysteries) to life. He does this by an opening brief summary mediation and also a bead by bead (10 mediations) per decade. Amazing!! You will definitely get to know and love Our Lord and our Blessed Mother more and more… Besides the traditional Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries, Father has also compiled the Mysteries of Light (Luminous) and the Hopeful Mysteries (you won’t want to miss this. It puts the whole story of The Fall, God’s Promise of the Savior, and our Redemption in perspective showing Our Lady’s role more clearly) in the second part of the book. Highly, highly recommend. Life changing! It will raise you higher to understand better the things and ways of God. You will never pray the Rosary in the same way again. Thank you Father Mark Higgins for putting this together.
