This was okay for a sequel. I do not regret buying it and reading it, but I will not be reading book 3. Book 2 ends with some unanswered questions which will probably be answered in book 3. The story is dragging. Everything could have been answered and solved in this book.

The cover is perfect for this story.
There was still too much inner dialogue.
Dual POVs

Ana still forgave too easily. The hero never had to fight to win her back. Even her ultimatums were weak. It took a day for if not less for her to be like “okay, Jackson”.

Spoilers below.
I thought there would be more drama with Briony Donohue. The whole situation with that felt weak. I was expecting more. I think that in this book, Ana showed how weak she was more than how strong she is. Ana needs therapy. A guy is not going to cure her. The minute something else goes wrong with Jackson, she is going to start cutting. You have to heal yourself and not wait for the guy to heal you. Ana needs help. Majority of the book she thought about hurting herself!</spoiler>

Ok I am now hooked and have bought the box set, even though I had the first two books as it worked out cheaper. The suspense continues to build and we gradually get some answers to all the mysterious secrets. The angst continues for both Jackson and Savanah be they together or apart, but trouble and threats surround both. Intense emotions seem to be the name of the game throughout these books, at times you almost feel like you’ve got whiplash with all the flashing back and forth with these character groups, not in a bad way. I am still not keen on Braiden and his blood family or the other rich own it all family, but I guess without them there wouldn’t be a story. This is a bit like a roller coaster, full of ups, downs, twists and turns to keep you gripped and needing to complete the series to get all the answers to the mysteries.

Audiobook Salvation and Secrets (Chastity Falls #2) by L A Cotton

This story is alot like fallen crest series and I think if I had read this series first then I more then likely wld have given it 5 stars. There are a lot of unanswered questions I still don’t understand Braidens character other then he’s crazy there are still alot of unanswered questions. I don’t really understand why Jackson and Ana being together was Jackson picking her over the family because if Braiden had let her in there would have been a good chance the family would never have split apart. Braiden seems stupid and crazy. And Jackson seems like a on to it person but he seemed to just sit back alot and wait for things to go wrong and never really having any kind of plan, that side of Jackson’s character shld have been thought about more. Ana a broken girl always seemed to be crying for something and everything seemed to be her thinking about stuff and zoning out on her friends. I do really like her friends but they always seemed to let her go off by herself even knowing that she wasn’t really safe. There just seemed to be alot of silly things like that.where everyone knew something was about to happen but was willing to sit back, act normal and wait for it. Other then that it was good I will nor then likely read the next book

Audio Salvation and Secrets (Chastity Falls #2) narrated by Emma Lysy

Ana and Jax are this amazing couple with so many obstacles in there way. I knew Jax wouldn’t be able to stay away from Ana and that things would only get worse. I hate Braiden. Guys with egos that big make me sick. I hope he eventually gets what he deserves.
I love so many of the secondary characters in this series. So far they all seem genuin even though a couple times I feared they we in on something too. Elena, Ana’s roommate is so good with her. Paul is such a sweetheart that I can’t believe she didn’t fall for him a little bit after Jax left her. Dennis seams to have Jax’s back which he really needs. Otis and V are so sweet, kind and loving. They are everything Jackson needs for a family.
Can’t wait to see how this all plays out in the final book. How will Jackson handle his mafia Uncle Marcus? What will happen with Braiden? And Braiden’s sister Briony, will she finally leave Jackson alone and move on. How can she not see that Jax sees her more of a sister then a lover.

If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would. I loved Loyalties and Lies but LA Cotton outdid herself with Secrets and Salvations. I did receive an advanced copy for an honest review. When I read L & L in February, I couldnt wait for the release of this book. I dove right in when I received it and had a very difficult time putting it down but family, work and sleep didnt allow me to read it all at once. I loved that we also had Jacksons POV in this book. Ana and Jackson both have lost in their lives and because of loyalty to Jacksons family they cant be together if he wants to keep her safe and that is what he wants to do at all costs is to keep her safe. They have this connection and what should have been Anas fresh start away from the tragedy from high school, now has her falling back into that dark space after the accident. Of course we have Elena and Paul looking out for her and trying to keep her from going back into that place.

Being apart from Ana is killing Jackson as he has never felt this way about anyone and he wants out but can anyone really leave the family? I was on the edge and the frustrations of situations were at an all time high. Chastity Falls is a town with many secrets as as they are slowly revealed will salvation be found and can they bring Ana and Jackson back together or will it keep them apart. Now I cant wait for summer when we have book 3 to find out more of their story. There was such great character interaction and emotional depth to this book that you will not be able to put it down unless absolutely necessary because of outside obligations like I encountered.
