**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review**

It’s always unbelievably hot when we get to return to The Wicked Horse Vegas. There is never a lack of chemistry and hotness in these books and Wicked Angel was no exception.

Benjamin is a neurosurgeon who has been dealt one of the most difficult blows that one can deal with in life when both his wife and daughter were killed in a car accident that also left him critically injured. He was hospitalized for a long period and is still dealing with the injury to his thigh and how it effects his walking and balance. Not to mention the physical scars, but he is still reeling emotionally. He doesn’t feel anything. He pretty much eats, sleeps and works. He’s recently started going back to The Wicked Horse to try to regain any feeling even if it’s just fleeting while receiving pleasure.

Elena is the best friend of Jorie, who we met in Wicked Wish, and she is the owner of her own hair salon. Elena has never had good luck where long-term relationships are concerned, so she’s taken the no-strings approach and she visits The Wicked Horse to connect with men.

Both Benjamin and Elena are using The Wicked Horse’s new fantasy app in order to find a hook-up. Elena and Benjamin connect on the app and make plans to meet up at the club. Benjamin gives Elena instructions and even though she’s blindfolded for their first meeting, to say that the chemistry between them is explosive is a vast understatement. Benjamin admits it might have been the best he’s ever had and Elena is moved by the experience as well. Who knew an app would change their lives?! They continue to connect through the app, but they finally make the decision to move away from it and begin texting and calling. Will this relationship continue as just an occasional hook-up or is it headed for something more serious?

This Wicked Horse book was a little bit more emotional than we are used to with this series, but I loved that. Benjamin was so mired in his guilt and devastation that it took the right person to be able to reach him and I loved how Elena went about that. She grew throughout the process as well and you could tell that the connection was good for both of them. This is just another of Sawyer Bennett’s amazing books in this series and I recommend picking it up, especially if you’re looking for a HOT summer read!

Wicked Angel brings us back to the world of Wicked Horse Las Vegas… sort of. While the club is the setting that brings Benjamin and Elena together, very little of the book actually takes place there.

Elena is the best friend of Jorie from the second book in the series (Wicked Wish). She has not had good luck in the dating scene over the past few years with a string of co-dependent losers, but she loves sex so occasional visits to the Wicked Horse have been her go-to lately as she can afford it. Eventually she would love to have the house and kids that most people dream of, but for now she is willing to settle for some really hot no strings fun instead.

Benjamin is struggling in a big way. Over the past year he has closed himself off from friends and family in an effort to cope with devastating loss. He has learned to push down the pain but it has come at the expense of all feeling. He has simply lost the will to care about much of anything anymore, and it is starting to worry him. He turns to the club in the hopes that something or someone will spark a response in him, but he is not prepared for Elena. What starts as no strings evolves into something much more in a way that neither expected, and it scares the heck out of both of them.

Elena is strong, independent and funny, and she is not afraid to ask the hard questions or go after what she wants. I have to say I really loved her character! It took me a long time to warm up to Benjamin just because he was so one dimensional and closed off for so long, but eventually I mostly liked him by the time the story was over. His reason for being the way he is at the start of the book is heartbreaking so I get it- but it was still a bit difficult to connect with him. When it comes to chemistry-that was off the charts right along with the steam factor so kudos to the author for making me become invested in the characters despite my reservations! In terms of supporting characters: Elena’s mom brought a smile to my face on more than one occasion. As for Jorie- well, I didn’t love her in her own book and I really could have lived without her in this one but I suppose she had to be included based on her relationship with Elena. And it was nice to get a glimpse of some of the other Wicked Horse and Jameson Security folks too. All in all, Wicked Angel was a great quick read with a healthy dose of steam and heart!

Audiobook Wicked Angel by Sawyer Bennett

To say that Benjamin knows loss, is an understatement, now he lives his life emotionless. He feels nothing for anyone. The only time he remotely feels anything is when he visits The Wicked Horse, but even that hasnt been enough to make him feel anything worthwhile. When he meets Elena, he is expecting more of the same, however she blows his mind. There is something about her willingness to accept what he can give and no expect more that draws him to her. As the two spend more time together, they realize they are more than just a casual hookup, but is Benjamin ready to open his heart up again?

The Wicked Horse Vegas series is one of my all-time favorite series by Sawyer Bennett, dont get me wrong I love every book she writes, but there is just something about this series that just clicks for me! Also the way that Sawyer writes is so vivid and I can imagine what is happening and exactly what the characters look like and how they act. She also has a way of taking a serious story and making it genuine and full of laughter as well as sorrow. This book takes you on a journey through the highs and lows of love and loss. There were parts that brought me to tears and then parts that had me cracking up! An absolutely beautiful addition to the Wicked Horse Vegas series.

In WICKED ANGEL Saywer Bennett is back to her saucy hottness that the Wicked Horse series has become known for. I must admit that Wicked Angel has become one of my favourites.. It is the story of Benjamin Hewitt and Elena Costieri, and how they prove that indulging in one’s fantasies can evolve into something deeper and more meaningful.

Benjamin is a shell of the man he used to be. Surviving an horrendous tragedy he has closed down his feelings and put up barricades so he can no longer be close to people. He is going through the motions and barely surviving day to day … his work is suffering, as are his relationships with his family and his best friend and partner. The only light in his life comes from when he attends the Wicked Horse Club (WHC), but even that is no longer supplying the reprieve he needs.

Trying out a new Fantasy App, run by WHC, Benjamin meets Elena, a woman who is happy to receive what Benjamin is willing to give. This is to be a purely sex only relationship. Elena has also been affected by her paast, and now she sees men as solely a way to gratification. She is not put off by Benjamin’s attitude, and soon a true friendship begins to develop. Elena enable Benjamin to begin to experience emotions that he closed off, he begins to realise just what he has made his loved ones endure.

As with all Sawyer Bennett books though, nothing is ever smooth sailing, and these two have quite a few hurdles to jump over. What I really enjoyed about Benjamin and Elena’s story was that it was realistic, there was no hiding the heartache or the consequences that a tragedy may bring forth. Elena was depicted as a strong enough woman to be able to assist Benjamin break down the walls he has built.

This is definitely a highly recommended read. I just loved it. Sawyer Bennet certainly knows how to captivate her readers.
