2.5 upped This title\’s a series starter in MMM+ Paranormal Romance. HEA. Fated Mates equivalent. Shifters. Magic. Insta-attraction. Plot continues in the next title. It\’s safe to say that despite interesting background and reference frame due to the chosen style this wasn\’t really very much for me. The only short way for me of putting it shortly ithat comes to mind easily is a comparison that it\’s likened to a too much of an anitablake knock-off without an actual blake in it done a la MMM+ harem. It\’s not for me but if that\’s for you personally you might like it. What\’s wrong in it otherwise beyond that is the opposite as in the original model: the speed in unfolding into that so fast in one shortish story. Just too much speed in it. It\’s like trying to do it running. The personality of the main character felt like slipping somewhere away and under the waves in the middle of this mad dash and all new keepers and sexcapades. Too much hurry ruins it. It\’s to be determined if the sequel gives it a real chance plotwise.

The first book in a paranormal/fantasy series, A King to be Claimed is an interesting start to a delicious and sexy poly romance. The author dives head first into the worldbuilding and action, and the plot never stops moving from page one. The action is balanced out nicely with some hot and steam intimate moments between all the characters, even when they are on the run. The book ends not on a cliff hanger, but there are still loose ends that need to be addressed in the next book. I really enjoyed this book and thought the audiobook was well done.

Audiobook A King to Be Claimed by Brea Alepoú

I liked this beginning, and I will definitely be reading the next book(s) to find out what happens with Titos and crew. I do wish that this book had ended with a bit more bang and a little less whimper. We didn\’t even get a cliffhanger, or a seemingly all is lost ending, just a bit of a pause in the action.

Audio A King to Be Claimed narrated by John Solo

In general I tend to enjoy stories by this author and this one has amazing potential, but I couldnt get past the choice to write internal conversations like a screenplay script. It really broke the flow of the conversation (especially when listening on audiobook). I had to stop listening. I dont mind insta-love in a story so thats not a concern, but if thats not your thing you probably wont like this one.

This book is like junk food. Its good, and I want more, but theres no real substance to it. Titos acquires three keepers with a potential fourth. One of them is an ice manticore wolf, which is just so totally ridiculous it made me laugh. My favorite character, by far, is Kail (Titos potential fourth keeper). Im hoping that guy finds his family/happiness in the next book.
