A King to Be Protected audiobook free
I pre-ordered this book because I loved the first one. Very neat concepts, world building, and character growth were introduced in the first book. It was a perfect platform for this book… And somehow it just didn\’t work. Titos, who was a shrewd but scared individual unsure of his worth in the first book, suddenly became a sex kitten who found no trouble beheading people left and right, while still claiming he wanted to be a \’kinder\’ king than his former queen was. Maybe that could even have been worked into the story as more character growth since the edoki society was a violent one, but since all he and his keepers did was have sex and sleep every five pages I have no idea how. Unless he did the growing in his sleep. I\’m not even joking when I say there was 6-7 scenes of actual plot surrounded but a crap ton of sex (and not even good sex). Really hate that the plot got lost for this book since the last one was so promising. Doubt I\’ll be reading further in the series.

I enjoy this series and really love Titos, but this book was far too short for my taste, I want more! I also wish that more development happened with Titos establishing his territory, but the book was mainly filled with problems that kept coming up. I understand that we him being a king so suddenly and unexpectedly and with his own deprived last that everything can\’t just call in place, but that is a good reason for the book to be longer, so that we can actually see more progress. I really enjoyed the first book. This one not so much. I hope the next book is better. I do like the action and hope to see more of that as well.

A King to be Protected is the second book in the Our King, Our Master series. This book is a reverse MMMM+ harem, with more partners to join the group. I love the relationship and dynamics between all the characters, but the plot is slow moving. This second book felt more like it was a set up for the third book, and a lot of mysteries still remain. I think if the book was a little bit longer and more a little more in depth, I would have liked it better. However, the steamy moments are on point and a lot of fun. Plus, John Solo does a fantastic job narrating the audiobook.

Audio A King to Be Protected narrated by John Solo
It is interesting that even the edoli who know exactly what Titos is, consistently underestimate him. They keep up with so much bravado that they believe their own hype, to their downfall. Something tells me that Titos\’ father was only taken by the Council with his cooperation, probably to protect Titos, and that they will have a very rude awakening when they try to go after Titos.

I know a few reviews have started they don\’t like how Titos has gone from scared to ruthless. I like it. He\’s finally able to come into his power and his keepers give him the support to trust himself. Plus the sex scenes are glorious. More the merrier please.
