Erik is the second book in the Arizona Vengeance series, a second chance romance between a flight attendant and a pro hockey player, even though there’s a little detail about this “second” chance (no, I’m not going to spoil it!)…
Erik is a player, not just a hockey player, but a real player. He is the true definition of a ladies man, the puck bunnies love him and he never goes home alone, well at least until Blue…
Blue is a sweet flight attendant, she used to be a party girl but she’s changed and had to take on a lot of responsibility on her shoulders. The last thing she needs is a serial dater like Erik trying to charm her…
Erik and Blue’s story is entertaining, their chemistry is amazing, I really liked how Blue kept ignoring Erik at first (there were some hilarious moments), their story is quite steamy but what I really loved about this book was the moments when the team bonded. Sawyer Bennett thrives on writing about hockey players, the game, the sense of loyalty between teammates, it’s absolutely amazing and I’m a huge hockey fan so I was definitely engaged in their story. Also, Erik surprised me a lot, I was kind of expecting him to be a little douchier and his behavior was refreshing. The secondary characters were amazing! I loved Legend, Dax, Billy, Pepper (I have high hopes for Pepper) and Tacker… wow Tacker… I can’t wait for Tacker’s story! The only reason I’m not rating this book with 5 stars is because I felt that I was a little more interested in what was going on with Legend, Pepper and Tacker (I think I have a crush on Tacker!) than with Erik and Blue’s relationship. Recommended to anyone who loves a steamy hockey romance.

Its time for Erik and Blues book., Erik Arizona Vengeance book 2! I have been eagerly awaiting its arrival since the first book and the banter we witnessed between these two in that book. And I was not disappointed. Not at all!

Erick Dahlbeck, the up and coming star for the Arizona Vengeance, feels an instant attraction to Blue, the Vengeances flight attendant. But Blue certainly doesnt doesnt feel the same about Erik. He has a well know reputation with the ladies. You can feel the chill in the air when she rebuffs him time and time again. As a matter of fact she seems a little hostile towards him. But this doesnt stop him from pursuing her. Nope! It just makes him want to get under her skin even more.

Blue Gardner has a big chip on her shoulder when it comes to Erik. Shes hurt fist and foremost when he doesnt remember her from a previous meeting. And second she just doesnt have time for him right now. Shes busy with more important things. She cant loose focus on her responsibilities. And she knows all to well that Erik could definitely make her loose focus.

When Erik stumbles upon Blue in her off time he finds out what her priority in life is at the moment and it makes Erik realize that shes got a lot on her plate.

After Erik gets a glimpse of her present situation Blue soon realizes she probably has misjudged Erik. But unfortunately she just isnt in a good place to pursue the possibility of a relationship. Let alone one with the rising hockey star. Or will Erik be able to tear down her walls and show her that hes in this for more than a fling?

I really enjoyed this entertaining, emotional and steamy read. You definitely cant go wrong with Erik and Blue. You will enjoy every moment as Erik and Blue find their way to their HEA.

Audiobook Erik by Sawyer Bennett

4.5 stars

Erik has always been a player both on and off the ice, and he is used to the ladies falling over themselves to have a chance with him. When he sets his sights on Blue, a beautiful flight attendant on the team plane, he is stunned when she turns him down over and over again and she does it with enough disdain to make him wonder what he has done to offend her.

Despite his playboy ways, Erik is actually a really great guy. He just grew up with a dad that set an example showing him that the ladies are meant to be both enjoyed and treated well. He has never insulted Blue as far as he can remember yet she brushes him off with an attitude that shows he ranks somewhere around something nasty she would scrape off her shoe. Determined to get to the bottom of it, he approaches her when he sees her out in town one night. She isn’t sure how to react as she is out with her disabled brother Billy but she definitely didn’t expect Erik to treat Billy as if he is just any other person without giving it a second thought.

From there, Erik slowly wears her down and he discovers the source of her animosity which dates back to an encounter five years ago. I had to laugh at the hoops she made him jump through to get a date with her- it certainly made him a target of laughter in the locker room too but he owned it!

Erik and Blue had great chemistry and I really enjoyed their story! Billy’s role in both their lives was a wonderful part of their journey as well. We get a tantalizing glimpse of what may be in store for Erik’s teammate Legend, and I am really looking forward to finding out more about the team captain Tacker. I think it will be quite some time before he gets his own story because he has a lot of healing to do but he is certainly the most heartbreaking member of the Vengeance team that we have been introduced to so far in my opinion given his history. If you are not a hockey fan, don’t worry- hockey is definitely part of the story but the main focus is on the characters rather than the game so don’t hesitate to grab a copy of this book!

Really enjoyed this second book in the spin off series. I loved the Carolina Cold Fury guys and the Arizona Vengeance Hockey Hotties are shaping up to be just as addictive .

Erik and Blue are very likeable. The chemistry is hot and the angst is low.
